On the second and fourth Mondays of most months, the Divine Knitters gather at 1:30 pm in the Denson Lounge to prayer, meditate and knit together.

The knitting of Prayer Shawls is a spiritual practice that brings together and enriches the work of hands and heart through praying and knitting in a circle of sharing.

It is an intentional gathering for the knitting of prayer shawls to be blessed and given to persons for whom we pray as a tangible sign of the love of God and the prayers of God's people during time of crisis, suffering, loss or joy.

Since the group began approximately three years ago, about 30 shawls have been made, blessed and delivered to those who would benefit from a physical reminder of the love of God and the support of the St. John's community.

The group is open to visitors and you are welcome to join at anytime.
