While we are currently not able to host the Out of the Rain night shelter in our lower hall due to COVID safety protocols, St. John's has continued to support this important work by providing hot dinners, cookies and breakfast muffins for the youth who need shelter on Monday nights.

Out of the Rain is a night shelter for homeless street youth up to age 25, running from mid October to mid April. It provides a warm dry space to sleep along with a hot supper, as well as breakfast the next morning. It is a low barrier shelter with pets allowed. Regular workers from Beacon Community Services remain with these young people overnight.

This important ministry is coordinated by Karyn Lehmann. If you would like to help out by making cookies or muffins for the youth attending the shelter, please let Karyn know by phoning the church office or by using the contact form below.
