As the new liturgical year begins and we move towards the celebration of Christmas it has been traditional for Churches to mark this season of waiting with special events and services in preparation to celebrate the great Feast of the Incarnation. Clicking on any of the highlighted text will take to you a link with more details of each event or service.

This year St John's will be marking 'Advent Sunday' with our usual Sunday Morning Eucharist at 10am and a very special service of music and hymns at 7pm called 'The Advent Procession' led by the choir and ministers of St John the Divine. This beautiful service is one of the highlights of the year and all are warmly invited to join us.

We will be studying a book through Advent which links to the great spiritual themes of light and dark, and there will be opportunity to talk through the book in a book study on Wednesdays and Thursdays - the title of the book is Learning to Walk in the Dark, by Episcopal Priest and author Barbara Brown Taylor.

On Thursday Evenings we will have a short service of Compline, a traditional service of Night Prayer. This will take place at 9pm via zoom and live streamed via our Facebook Page! Please email our Parish Priest, Alastair by clicking here if you would like the zoom link.

We will also have a daily blog starting on Sunday 30th November
