Today's another very personal reflection. This song, by Singer-Songwrite Ari Hest and Folk icon Judy Collins, came at exactly the right time in my life. It was a time when I was bruised and hurt, and could have chosen to lash out, or to turn inwards, to hold my anger and frustration, or to seek to be the loving, compassionate, gracious human being I hope to be. I don't get it right all the time, or perhaps even often, but I am grateful for the day I heard this song for the first time and was encouraged to take the Divine way - the way of love.

I choose love.

"Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."                    1 Corinthians 13.4-7
