Lent 2026

As Lent, which begins on 18th February, is such an important season in the Church year we will be marking in a variety of ways throughout the whole season. Please click through on highlighted words to find more details.

On the first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday, we will have two special services of Holy Communion. At 10am we will have a simple Eucharist with Hymns and at 7pm a Parish Eucharist with choir. Both will have the invitation to recieve ashes in the sign of the cross on our foreheads. 

Starting on Monday 23rd February and carrying on through the whole of Lent we will have an online book study, details here. There will also be an opportunity to gather in person for the book study with a Soup lunch every Wednesday, starting on 25th February.

On Thursdays, starting on 19th February, we will share in an online service of Compline. 

There will be events marking each day of Holy Week which will be posted here nearer the date.
