Reflection 

Way back in 2012 the Anglican Church of Canada had a competition for a song which related to the Five Marks of Mission, a competition that was won by Jaylene Johnson, then a minister and musician at Saint Benedict's Table in Winnipeg. Hope is one of the words which is used Advent in a number of contexts and there's plenty of misunderstandings of what it might mean. Jaylene gives us some poetic reflection on what it is and is not. 

Scripture

But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint
