Disappear into cherry blossoms.
Don’t vanish or perish, just loosen.
Step sideways into sunlight
where petals fall without sound
and time forgets to count itself.
Then the wide world
is white noise.
Everything continues
without need.
Traffic, headlines, calendars,
the small glassy click of phones -
all of these dissolve
like raindrops in moss.
Then, there is only light.
Watch clouds of pale blooms.
See the way lichen sits on stone
not trying to do anything
but breathe while
the snow of memories
melts and becomes
nothing to carry.
The present wins over the past.
A petal lands on your hand
and stays there - a raft for sunlight.
The afternoon lengthens like breath.
This is enough, sing the branches.
This is enough.
