The Neighbourhood Gallery is a not-for-profit, low-barrier gallery created to support and celebrate the work of diverse, emerging, inclusive, and socially engaged artists. We are excited to introduce this new space to the  Victoria arts community.

At a time when Victoria has seen the loss of gallery and exhibition spaces, the Neighbourhood Gallery is  a response to the need for more accessible, community-minded spaces where artists can share their work.

The St John the Divine community supports the gallery by providing the space itself, along with the practical contributions of volunteers. The gallery is curated and facilitated by Soul Space Arts Collective, led by Ruth Macintosh and Cornelia van Voorst, Lead Curator.

We currently offer exhibitions by invitation and hope to introduce open calls over the coming year. We also welcome proposals from artists and curators interested in developing exhibitions for the space.

The Neighbourhood Gallery is located within the St John the Divine building at 1611 Quadra St, Victoria, BC. The entrance is at the northeast corner, at the back of the church, accessible through the parking lot off Mason St. The gallery may also be accessed through the main office.
