A series of evenings in our HEPA-filtered Denson Lounge to explore the dimensions of prayer life. The contributors will offer different perspectives and ideas around prayer, both in teaching about and experiencing forms of prayer.

Week 1 - 27th February: The Purpose of Prayer - A discussion evening led by Alastair Singh-McCollum about how we understand prayer, what prayer means for us, difficulties we find with prayer, and hopes for this short series.

Week 2 - 6th March: Intercessory Prayer - Visual Artist, and Artist Advocate at St John's, Cornelia Van Voost, will lead us in thinking about the nature and purpose of intercessory prayer.

Week 3 - 13th March: Contemplative Prayer - Dr Pat Manning, member of the St John's community, will lead an exploration of Centring Prayer and contemplation.

Week 4 - 20th March: The Rhythm of Prayer - The Revd Dr Canon Martin Brokenleg will guide us in considering a pattern of prayer for daily living, with reflections from his own Benedictine formation.

Week 5 - 27th March: The Art of Prayer - Cornelia Van Voost discusses how Art can guide our praying life, both the use of art and the creation of art.

You are welcome to join us at all or any of these.
