This is a fundraiser put on by the Kalmo Refugee Support Group in partnership with our First Met-St John Refugee Support Group. This is a great opportunity to try some Korean food and help the Kalmo group raise funds towards the sponsorship of four family members of Marwo Abdi , originally from Somalia. Information about The Kalmo Refugee Support Group: This constituent group formed in September 2017 under the Anglican Diocese of BC Sponsorship Agreement Holder. This group would like to sponsor Marwo’s mother, brother, and two cousins, currently living in a refugee camp in Uganda. Marwo came to Canada as a refugee herself, and is currently juggling school, work, and raising her own family as well as working to be reunited with her family members far away.
