St. John’s Seniors’ Fellowship

St.John's Seniors' Fellowship, consisting of about 30 members, meets every month on the first Wednesday at 2:00 pm. Most meetings are held in the Denson Lounge, and consist of a presentation by a guest, followed by refreshments. Sometimes the group meets for lunch at a restaurant in the downtown area, instead of attending a regular meeting.

A phoning committee keeps members informed of upcoming activities. Members pay a membership fee of $10.00 which helps defray expenses. An ad hoc collection taken at each meeting is donated to the St. John’s Food Bank. Luncheons are paid for by individuals as they partake. Greetings are sent to individuals who have birthdays, or are ill.

Members of the Pastoral Care Committee help to organize the meetings and prepare refreshments. .

New members, over the age of 55, are most welcome. Watch for announcements in the Sunday leaflets about meetings. The group is a great way to cement old friendships, and a good start for newcomers to the St. John’s community.
