Grief Support Group
Grief
is the natural, human response to the many losses of all kinds which
occur in life. The grieving process takes longer and sometimes is more
painful than we anticipate. Avoiding the effort may result in prolonged
feelings such as deep sadness, anxiety, despair, confusion or hopelessness,
which may indicate an unresolved grief reaction. Often people find it
helpful to join with a small group of supportive others who are in a
similar situation. It need not be a recent loss nor necessarily one
caused by death. The healing process is similar. The Facilitator has
had training and experience.
Meetings
are usually on Thursday afternoons. However, please call ahead to 383-7169
or 598-6136.
Grief
support workers are trained and experienced.
