Grand Procession to the New Church
Date Sunday December 6, 2009
Time 10:00 AM Location Start at the corner of Fisgard and Douglas Streets, where the church used to be. End with a service in the present church at 1611 Quadra Street.
St. John the Divine Anglican Church used to be in a prefabricated iron building at the corner of Fisgard and Douglass Streets. We moved to the current location at 1611 Quadra Street in a grand procession in December 1912.
The procession will include cruxifers, choir, clergy, and banners.
A brass band will greet the procession at the church.
The police will stop traffic.
